Lewis McGuigan and Alman Abdi lined up for Derby in Watford double swoop if deal for Thorn falls through and Ward goes off to Stoke replacing the released Etherington.

Why would ward leave after just signing a new extention?
He didn't sign an extension the club exercised the right for an extra year. this could be true as we would want some money for him however think he will stay till the end of his contract. good player and dangerous in the championship

Derby have confirmed they are in negotiations with WBA over the permanent signing of George Thorne, who has said he would like to come to Derby. -Source: Derby CEO, Sam Rush.
Derby are also looking at Norway left back, Jonathan Parr after his release from Crystal Palace to provide competition for Forsyth at left back as he is our only option there currently. Becchio to Derby?
Becchio is very good player and score goals in the championship I don't think he is a Premier League player he is not getting game time at Norwich City so I think Derby should go in for Becchio on a season long loan or Permanent deal

Plenty of rumour sites are suggesting that Steve McClaren is high on Southampton's list to replace the departed MoPo in the managerial hot-seat at St Mary's,
Can see why they would think about the idea but realistically I hope and think its a no no
Heard this too. Apparently Saints have held talks with McClaren's people already and Murat Yakin (whoever that is). Froma good source (agent) in the game.
So Southampton have broken league rules and not asked permission from Derby to speak to him? I very much doubt it and think this is made up waffle.

Cyrus Christie thought to be lined up as a replacement for Andre Wisdom. Strikers including one of Luciano Becchio, Dwight Gayle, Lewis Grabban and Callum Wilson are all rumoured targets.
Dwight Gayle is scoring goals for fun for Premiership Palace so why drop a division to join us? Grabben has agreed to join Cardiff so not much in this made up waffle me thinks.
Gayle is now staying in the premership too good for championship a step backwords although would be nice

Derby to move for Coventry City duo Cyrus Christie and Franck Moussa. Also on thought to be on Derbys tranfer target list are Luciano Becchio, Karol Linnety and Jack Robinson.
Jack robinson is poor. lack of disiplin. becchio wouldn't suit derbys playing style as 4 3 3 and martin won't lose his place. unless he wants to do a sammon year he won't sign. christie was last year rumour and not mclaren type of player. where is the source of this information?

Buxton, Forsyth, Eustace, Hughes, Lee Naylor, Connor Sammon, Jamie Ward, Simon Dawkins and Adam Legzdins set to leave Derby.
As well as others set to be released from their contracts.
Wisdom, Bamford, Whitbread and Thorne loans expired.
I think some of this players will not leave Derby next season

Why would they all leave? Those usually in squad of 18 this season have loved it and will stay, aside from Sammon possibly. Be surprised if we didn't make a push for Thorne and Andre back next season too

Leroy Fer been linked, Norwich are all but down so he will leave and potentially will stay in England. Also worked under Mclaren at FC Twente, only problem would be wages and transfer fee but would be a good addition to the rams.
Not seen enough of him plus he's just been religated with norwich why would we want players like that in the team? big wages and big transfer fee goes against derby county?
Apparently his work rate is great and can play the role of box-to-box really well, alike bryson. The wages (whatever they are) would be a put off but the fact Mclaren has an idea of what he is like may be a contributing factor. Who knows though!

Derby want Celtic captain Scott Brown if they get promotion to the EPL.
I think he will be a very good signing for Derby if we do get promotion to the Premier League
Why? SPL = English League 2 so doubt he would cut it at such a high level.
Bryson and Russell both came from SPL and there is no doubt that they are quality players. Maybe not Premier but certainly better than League 2
League 2? are you joking, much higher standard than that, probably top table league 1 or lower championship
The bottom half of the SL teams have the resources and stadia of League 2/Conference teams. that's what Brown is playing against week in week out. no thanks
Have you not seen Celtic play in the champions league your having a laugh they would be in the bottom half of the premier league not league 1 or 2 its the rest of the teams in the Scottish divisions that are terrible

If Derby gain promotion to the PL, Ross McCormack and Jordan Rhodes are Derby's main summer targets in terms of strikers. Luc Castaignos is also a possible target. Scott Sinclair and Will Buckley also possible targets for wingers.
