Nigels job is safe. The board know this run of bad results must stop. Fans are not
turning up in the numbers they once were & the Yank's are concerened that a relegation
fight might hurt next season's ticket sales.
Poyet is seen a a fan pleaser as
well as a manager that can get sucess without spending vast amounts of money. The good
news for Nigel is that if they were going to let him go they would have done it earlier
to give the new manager a chance to bring in players in Jan. So from what I have been
told, Nigel's job is safe unless we get pulled into the relegation fight. At that point
the board would act to stop us slipping into the division below. Come on Nigel! what
would the the old man do? And I don't mean Savage! !

manager Nigel Clough 3 games to save his job, although it is believed a disastrous
performance against rivals Nottingham Forest could see him sacked
immediately.
The club have no immediate, long-term successor lined up,
but are believed to be prepared to offer veteran midfielder Robbie Savage a chance at
managing the side until the end of the season if Clough were to go. Savage would look to
bring former Leicester teammate Matt Elliott in as assistant to help advise him during
his first managerial stint.

three-and-a-half year contract to keep him at Derby until 2014.
Barker
has established himself as a key member of Nigel Clough's side since arriving from
Blackpool in the summer of 2009.
The 28-year-old, who was named the

Rams.
Nigel Clough does not want to sell his star defender, however if an
