Played golf today at Keddleston with member of backroom staff at Derby. Told not to expect any incoming players as Nigel does not want to upset the current team spirit and balance of the team, unlike last year where the arrival of Luke Moore upset the personel and team. Nigel has funds but feels the next transfer window will determine the team as to whether to push for promotion / play offs or consolidate again with mid table finish. Also not one enquiry has been recieved for any players, mainly due to the high wages Bywater, Leacock are on.

Owen is prepared to go out on loan to get sharpe & AF will let him, but not to a premership club. He sees Owen as ideal cover for Rooney & co so will not allow Owen to move on a long term deal. However With Derby missing Tyson for another 4 games Utd might let the former England man go out for 1 month on loan.

Derby County boss Nigel Clough is set to sign three loan players by the end of the week.
Danny Drinkwater from Manchester United is set to sign on loan till the end of the season and Ryan Shotton from Stoke is also set to sign on a six month loan deal.
The third deal is apparently Steve Howard from Leicester.
