Why? A few high wage players are leaving (Roberts, Tyson and bailey) and Blackburn are in a poor position
Sam rush has said at his Q&A that we are looking at out of contract players. Dann is out of our price range.

Bryson gathering interest from palace, Cardiff and Wigan
Would let him go for £1. 5+ million. runs all day and scores a few but think he is a bit lightweight and not a ball-winner which Derby need in ront of the back four. Would play Brayford in that position myself and go with Freeman at RB. Put the money towards buying Doyle from Wolves!

If we are going after Davies then it is either him or Chris Martin Clough wants, but not both. I'd prefer neither.

Davies cancelled going to Toronto because his family don't want to move that far for what would be a two-year deal so he is being asked to come to Pride Park instead. Contract negotiations are ongoing, expect a press release after Boltons' last game.
Baptiste also in talks though if Palace go up (in talks also with them) he'll go to play in the Premier league. Can also subjectively say that Palace will offer significantly higher wages to tempt people to come to London.

Derby are strongly linked with Shrewsbury Towns, Jon Taylor after a strong season in league 1 for the shrews, Compensation would have to be paid though as he is out of contract but likely to be offered a contract by the shrews so there fore due to his age, money would have to be agreed, whether it be through the clubs or tribunal

Hughes miles to good to join promoted sides. Only a top 6 {Ed001's Note - I am not sure he will be going anywhere, this summer anyway. There are lots of interested clubs, but he is not showing an inclination to push to leave, yet. I suppose the acid test will be in the summer when agents are shoving offers under his nose.}

Bristol must sell Steve Davies and others, they have a huge wage bill and cannot afford to keep him. He will definitely NOT be re joining Derby though

Derby to make Forsyth permanent deal, no offer for Martin yet (if he had scored a couple of goals, Cloughie would. but too many already loan to perm fail to excel afterwards. )
Still chasing Baptiste (as are Palace) and Gary Monk for CB slot, Waghorn and Will Grigg for CF slot and Moussi to strengthen defensive midfield.
Martin and Salmon don't work together so its one or the other

Nope conversation at Moor Farm, we look after their community projects, these are players they have expressed a genuine interest in. Callum Ball's farther has mentioned a potential swap + cash deal for Grigg/ Ball with Walsall.

Callum Ball does see his dad, and his mum and his brother! I know because I am friends with John (dad), regular in bookies at Beaumont Leys. and he leaves all the footie stuff to his sons' agent, though he has confirmed Callum, out recently with ankle injury (and currently not in Pressleys long term plans at Coventry) is looking for regular first team footie next year as he turns 21. Grigg/ Ball + cash swap is mentioned but only because the two have the same agent.

Callum another one with year left on contract and though not on list to go will have something to prove pre-season as he has in the past come back quite unfit! Think Cloughie rates him and wants him to succeed, a bit like with Conor Doyle, both fine at u-21 levevl but struggle to make step up. Took his goal vs Arsenal when with Cov very well, need a few more like that to cememnt place in squad!

I'd hope that we'd sign more than Adomah if both Hendrick and Hughes leave.

Derby looking to next year and strengthening u-21 and first team with move for Chelsea starlet Nathan Ake (Ruud Gullet look-a-like and quality player!).
Nathan Ake
Born on 18 February 1995 in Gravenhage, Holland, Nathan joined from Feyenoord in the summer of 2011 after competing in the Under-17 World Cup. Versatile, he is primarily a defender who can play either in the middle or on the left, but is also comfortable in the centre of midfield. A successful first season, which included reserve team appearances, ended with the 2012 FA Youth Cup Final win although Nathan did not play the second leg of the final.
He made his first-team debut in the final moments of an away league game at Norwich on Boxing Day 2012, and his first start in an FA Cup fifth-round tie away at Middlesbrough at the end of February 2013.
Ake was part of the Dutch side beaten by Germany on penalties in the final of the European Under-17 Championships.

Nathan Ake would be a great loan signing if you can prise him away, not got much of a look in at chelsea though he played in UEFA game.
These people who disagree with above posts. are you challenging the view that Derby are in for him (fact as Metgod acknowledges he his using his Ditch u-21 conttacts to bring young players to the team and targetting players already in UK)

Have mates who are neighbours of Darren Pratley's folks, say he is not happy with life in the northeast and not starting games, currently in 'talks' with Midlands club regarding summer move. only giveaway by him was that he visited their training base near to the 'St Georges Park' and was very impressed by manager and squad. Good signing for Rams maybe?
It's probably forest, didn't billy Davies want him when he was at Swansea?

The Scottish Sun has an article on Chris HUMPHREY from Scottish SPL outfit Motherwell, as an option to the lack lustre Derby front line, could be just what we need in terms of genuine pace, has lots of experience in Europe, and still under 25. Free in the Summer, would seem a good financial move, for both player and club.
